Valentine's Day Recipes to Impress your Beau

As Valentine's Day approaches, restaurants begin to book up with reservations for this romantic night. If you can't seem to find the perfect place to take your lover, your friend, or yourself, stay in and cook one of the delicious French recipes instead! Light some candles, put on your favorite dress, shake up a sparkly cocktail, put on some Carla Bruni, and get to cooking.

A classic French dish that is incredibly romantic is Duck à l'Orange. The sweet and savory flavors melt on your tongue, creating an irresistible combination that is satisfying without leaving you overly full. This recipe by the amazing Jacques Pépin is absolutely incredible.

Another fabulous option is Poulet Vallée d’Auge from Normandy which combines apples and chicken in the most exquisite cream sauce. This recipe hails from the incredible Mimi Thorrison.

And you can't skip dessert on Valentine's Day. Go for something ultra decadent like chocolate mousse. This recipe is perfect topped with cream and raspberries.

As for drinks, I'm sure you don't need any guidance, but you can never go wrong with an ice cold bottle of Dom Pérignon or a delicious French 75.

Want to look the part? Grab a Dutchdeluxes apron to wear night of.

Bisous!
